ALAN RATTRAY

Alan was snapped up by then Loons manager Tommy Campbell who spotted “Ratts” playing Sunday boys football for Dundee United Social Club. After completing a successful trial and making a handful of friendly appearances Alan was offered a 1 year deal which he gladly signed. After serving time with the Youth and Reserve teams, Alan was promoted to the first team. Further recognition was soon to follow as captain at the time Dave Bowman was hit with a suspension period. Neil Cooper wasted no time in giving Alan the captains arm-band, for a spell at first but then permanently as Bowman was hit with a long-term suspension from the game.
With the signing of a new 2 year, deal Alan will complete 10 years service with The Loons which will result in a testimonial match taking place.
Alan is a decorator by trade and has scored 3 first team goals for The Loons.
